Q. Can furniture be purchased unfinished?
A. Most of the furniture in our line can be purchased either finished or unfinished. Mirrors can only be purchased in the finish shown in the catalog.
Q. What is the lead time?
A. Our lead time for finishing and upholstery varies depending upon the item(s) selected. Please call for the lead time for the specific item(s) that you are interested in. When furniture is purchased unfinished the lead time is approximately two weeks.
Q. Do you have a minimum order quantity?
A. No.
Q. How do I open an account?
A. You can open an account with us either by placing an initial order with us or by sending us a request that an account be opened for your company.
Q. What are your payment terms?
A. All accounts are initially opened as CBD (cash before delivery). In order to obtain open terms (net 30 days) with us, please send us credit references for at least three furniture companies that your firm currently has open terms with. We accept payment by check, wire, Zelle or credit card.
Q. Where is Louis J. Solomon’s furniture manufactured?
A. We import our furniture from Spain. All finishing and upholstery is done at workrooms in South Florida.
Q. What are some of the details that there are upcharges for?
A. Some of the common details that there are upcharges for include but are not limited to the following: gold metal leaf details, silver metal leaf details, custom finish matching, custom finish strikeoffs for approval, nailhead trim, tufted upholstery, size modifications.
Q. Can your furniture be ordered in custom sizes?
A. We import our furniture in the stock sizes as listed in our catalog and website which for the most part cannot be modified. The only exception is that some items such as headboards can have their height increased or cut down.
