For more than 80 years, Louis J. Solomon has been an important source of traditional fine furniture to the trade. In recent years, we have greatly expanded our collection to include hundreds of transitional and contemporary pieces as well. We are an important source to interior designers, high-end furniture stores, and designer showrooms throughout the United States.
Established in New York City in 1930 by Louis J. Solomon, our company began selling unfinished frames. Over the years our furniture line has expanded to include a wide variety of finished and unfinished pieces, ranging from more traditional styles to transitional and contemporary styles. We have added a wide selection of fully upholstered furniture, including chairs, sofas, and sectionals that can be custom built to each client’s specifications.
Recognized by the design trade for our outstanding finishes, we pay careful attention to the fine details in the finishing process which bring out the natural beauty in our hand-made furniture. Our finishes are all mixed and applied by hand which gives each piece of furniture that we produce its own unique character and quality. We offer a wide variety of finishes to choose from as well as custom finishing and hand painted decoration.
Our upholstery allows each piece to be fully customized to create something that is unique to each client’s individual style. Hand-tied coil springs, quality materials, and meticulous attention to detail are what set our upholstery apart.
